Sharkoon of Germany has announced the launched its new SATA Quickport Duo with USB 3.0 HDD Docking station that provides users easy access to upto two SATA hard disk drives with USB 3.0 connection.

The QuickPort Duo USB 3.0 HDD docking station allows direct connection to upto two 2.5-inch or standard 3.5-inch SATA hard disk drives connected via two identical ultra-fast USB 3.0 ports.

The Sharkoon SATA Quickport USB 3.0 is an upright drive station that should make hard disk cloning, migration and forensic drive analysis much easier and hassle free besides allowing upto 10 times faster speed. Sharkoon’s Quickport Duo is simple to install and operate as it only features 2 LED indicators and a single eject button.

Just like the previously available Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Duo HDD docking station, the  SATA QuickPort Duo USB 3.0 also supports upto two SATA Hard Drives in a single docking station either as 2 x 2.5-inch or 2 x 3.5-inch regular size, or 1 x 2.5-inch along with 1 x 3.5-inch full height hard drive.

Connection to the PC is now provided exclusively through the devices rear side USB3.0 dual ports, in which every hard drive is assigned as an attachment. The device comes with two USB 3.0  cables of 200 cm length each and a dedicated power adapter.

In conjunction with our USB3.0 Host Controller Card, you could immediately begin benefiting from the rapid pace USB3.0 interface that enables it deliver upto 230 MB/sec read and upto 160 MB/sec write speed.
