Samsung has announced its new SNE-60K e-Book Reader in Korea that has 6-inch display, built-in two 0.3 Watts speakers and supports epub, PDF and plain text.

Like recently released Samsung E61 e-Book reader, the new Samsung SNE-60K e-Book reader sports a 6-inch 600×800 pixel resolution e-paper display that reflect light naturally and deliver an appearance similar to that of printed paper, allowing users more naturally reading experience than they would with other backlit electronic paper devices besides consuming far lower power than other portable display devices.

Only four hours of charging prepares the battery for up to two weeks of use and Samsung SNE-60K e-book readers are equipped for wireless Wi-Fi 802.11b/g that allows users to download e-Book compatible contents such as books and newspapers from a server wirelessly.

In addition, Samsung SNE-60K (aks SNE-60/60K)  is equipped with 2-GB internal memory, that is capable of storing upto 1400 standard e-Books, microSD expandable memory slot allowing upto 32-GB storage and Bluetooth 2.0 allowing wirelessly share certain content with other devices. Samsung have also partnered with Google for e-book content offering large part using the search giant’s huge repository of out-of-copyright Google Books titles.

Other feature of Samsung SNE-60K includes handwriting recognition capability, support for PSF documents, Text-to-Speech, MP3 music playback, Electronic dictionary and built-in two 0.3 Watts speakers.

The Samsung SNE-60K e-book reader is also equipped with a removable battery allowing users to change the battery without having to send the unit to service center and is available at Kyobo Bookstores in South Korea for 429,000 won or about $375.
