Samsung Launches New S-Series S10-HMX, S15-HMX and S-16-HMX Camcoders
Samsung has announced the new S-series, Full HD camcorders in the form of the Samsung S10-HMS, S15-HMX, and S16-HMX cameras. To be available in May 2010, these are world’s first camcorders equipped with WiFi and DLNA (except S10) allowing playing movies wirelessly to the TV screen and computer sharing.
These Full-HD capable camcorders are also equipped with a Kreuznach 18x zoom lens, and except S10 which comes with internal HDD, two other models comes with SSD for data storage. The camcoders can also capture 10-megapixel still pictures and offer the ability to view movies with an extra high speed. They also allow beautiful slow-motion video playing but at the expense of image resolution.
All 3 new S Series S10-HMS, S15-HMX, and S16-HMX camcoders incorporates Samsung’s proprietary new Victoria Engine processor paired with 1/2.3 inch Back Side Illumination CMOS imaging sensors as well as optically stabilized Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan-HD lenses and features 3.5-inch widescreen touchscreen WVGA LCD displays running a 3D GUI.
These new Samsung S-Series Full HD camcorders supports H.264 compression for video capture and allows High Def time lapse recording, super slow motion of 300 fps at 368×208 pixels resolution or 600 fps at 192×112 pixel resolution.
The new Samsung S10-HMS, S15-HMX, and S16-HMX would be available by May or early June 2010 and Samsung has not yet revieled their prices.
Besides these full-HD S10-HMS, S15-HMX, and S16-HMX camcoders camcorders Samsung has also announced two new SD cameras in the market. The C20 is the brother of the M20 and has the same tilted lens. The F40 is just a sample zoom, a lens that can zoom up to 52 times. Both Samsung C20 and F40 are expected to get launched in February 2010 in the stores with price tags of 199 and 229 euros respectively.
