Following the success of Samsung Apps in the UK, France and Italy, Samsung, today announced the expansion of its application store, Samsung Apps, which from this month will be available to Omnia II (I8000) and OmniaLITE (B7300, I329) phone users in Singapore, Germany, Brazil and China, offering users benefit of online one-click access to a huge range of applications, games and social networking apps along with some e-books.

Samsung Application Stores - Samsung AppsUsers can browse the intuitive application menus via their GPRS, 3G or Wi-Fi connections, and simply downloading applications with just one click.

Samsung plans to offer well-known applications such as Guitar Hero (Mobile Bus), Spiderman (Gameloft), Need for Speed (EA) and skin (Prompt) at the launch of Samsung Apps later this month, with more applications from a range of leading third-party publishers added throughout the year.

Leading vendors viz. Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Handmark, CrazySoft Limited, Paragon SW, Com2us, and Shazam are among those working with Samsung to develop Samsung Apps. In addition, local language-based applications will be provided to enhance usability.

From mid-Feb 2010, most of the Samsung mobiles in Singapore and Germany will be shipped with the Application Store pre-installed and these new customers will also able to take advantage of Kies software suite that allows users to search and download applications directly from PCs.
