Samsung Announces 30nm-Class 32GB microSD High-Density NAND Flash Card

Samsung has announced its new 30nm-class based 32GB capacity high-density NAND Flash microSD memory cards that allows increased storage capacity for latest mobile phones and handheld mobile devices.
Expected to go into mass produced starting Feb 2010, the new Samsung 32GB microSD card actually stacks eight 32Gb NAND components and a card controller. The industry’s highest capacity, production-ready microSD card is enabled by the use of Samsung’s advanced 30-nm class 32Gb NAND flash memory technology.
Till now, the highest density microSD card in the market had a 16GB capacity and was based on 40nm-class 16Gb NAND. The new Samsung 32GB microSD card is only 1mm-thick. Samsung has not indicated its prices in press release about this.
