Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition Phone is Coming in Q2
Nokia has announced that its newer version of Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition Smartphone which has 18-caret gold coating exterior is expected to roll-out in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia markets in April 2010.
Besides adoring the handset with expensive 18-carat gold plating, the special edition Nokia N97 Mini Gold handset is practically identical in design and features to original Nokia N97 Mini smartphone which was announced in November 2009.
The new Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition smartphone, like original Nokia N97 Mini comes equipped with Ovi shop application that allows accessing thousands of applications on Ovi shop including games, multimedia, productive applications can be downloaded to till home screen. Social networking users can use Pixelpipe application to access hundreds of social communities and publish photos and videos files.
The gold plated N97 Mini also offers Lifecasting with Ovi a mobile application that allows users publish live their current location and status directly to their Facebook social networking account right from the home screen of Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition handset.
Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition features full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and handset comes equipped with 3.2-inch 640 x 360 pixels touchscreen display and features 8-MB internal memory with microSD card supporting upto 16-GB extended storage.
Data connectivity options includes GPRS Class 11, HSCDS, EDGE Class 32, 3G HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP along with miniUSB 2.0 port.
The Nokia N79 Mini Gold handset includes 5.0 Megapixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, 20X digital zoom and 2592 x 1944 pixels still picture resolution. there is a built-in dual-LED flash with automatic on/off feature. The camera also allows video recording with full DVD quality (640 x 480 pixels) in 30 fps or QCIF format (176 x 144 pixels) in 15 fps or SubQCIF (128 x 96 pixels) in 15 frames per second.
The handset also features Real Media video player supporting H.263, MPEG-4, H.264 AVC, Real Video format files along with Flash v3.0 and there is also a second VGA resolution digital camera having 352 x 288 pixels resolution for video calling.
The Nokia N79 Mini Gold Phone also sports built-in GPS receiver with location mapping application with Nokia Map software which is now offered free of license. The handset is also equipped with a unique feature, location tagger that allows users automatically tag location details with pictures along with the geographical coordinates data.
The Nokia N97 Mini Gold is armed with ARM 11 369 MHz Processor and some of the other features includes 3.5 mm audio port, TV-out port, FM radio with RDS, a set of stereo speakers located on opposite sides, Java 2.0, Push mail (pop3, smtp, imap protocols) Microsoft document viewers, and WAP 2.0/xHTML browser.
Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition Phone is expected to be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia markets in April 2010.
