MSI Launches Energy-Saving Wind Box DE220 Nettop PCs
MSI, today announced the launch its new energy-saving, low-noise, entertainment-oriented models in MSI’s Wind Box mini-PC series: the MSI Wind Box DE220 Nettop PC that combines slim, lightweight design with outstanding performance.
The MSI Wind Box DE220 is build using 2L design providing them the ultra-slim good looks of the earlier generation of A4-sized mini-PCs, and offer improved energy-saving and noise reduction capabilities. in addition, the MSI Wind Box DE220 Nettop PCs use environmentally-friendly coating materials and conform to the new EuP (Energy using Products) environmental directive that is being introduced by the European Union in 2010.
Measuring 283mm x 178mm x 40.4mm, the MSI Wind Box DE220 Nettop PCs use the latest Intel Pine Trail platform, which provides energy consumption around 90% lower than that of a conventional desktop PC. In addition, it offers outstanding noise reduction performance of under 24dB, makes it ideal for continuous use over long periods of time.
The Wind Box DE220 nettop PC is powered by Intel Atom 510 (dual-core)/410 (single core) Processor running at 1.66GHz with Intel NM10 Express chipset and features upto 4-GB DDR2 RAM, an ATI Radeon HD 4300 discrete graphics solution with 256 MB dedicated video memory. The Nettop also includes 3.5-inch 160 GB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive , WiFi 802.11b/g/n mini PCI-e card, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 6 in 1 card reader supporting XD, SD, mini SD, Micro SD, MMC, MS cards and built-in HDMI digital out port connection for HDTV, ensuring outstanding performance for both high-definition video content viewing and 3D gaming.
The ATI Radeon HD4300 in MSI Wind Box DE220 model supports Full-HD 1080p video playback; its unique Ultimate Visual Experience technology eases the pressure that decoding HD video signals puts on the CPU, enabling users to switch on other applications at the same time as they are watching HD video or playing 3D games.
The MSI Wind Box DE220 Nettop PCs come with Microsoft’s latest Windows 7 operating system pre-installed and it weighs just 2 kg, making it easy to carry and move around, and to switch from one display to another.
