Motorola Soon Launching Android Based Tablet PC and Two Smartphones
Motorola has recently announced that in near future, it plans to launch a iPad like tablet device that it claims would be based on Google’s Android Operating System.
The announcement was made by Sanjay Jha ( Co-CEO, Motorola) at New York City. He said that “a 7 to 10 inch device is much needed these days which will give the users with a TV experience while providing mobility”. According to him, users can expect to see such devices from Motorola in a very short time.
In recent past, Wall Street Journal also reported that Verizon will be introducing two brand new Motorola Droids phones in US market in the month of July 2010.
Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha said, “We will introduce new Droid products in the Verizon franchise.” He also said that Verizon would be promoting the two new droids along with Motorola, similar to what they did for the original Motorola Droid/Milestone.
The original Droid was heavily promoted by Verizon and Motorola in the US which proved to be a sort of saviour for Motorola in already tough times. It helped the company gain a respectable market share, and prevented the company from shutting down.
The two new forthcoming Google Android powered handsets which Motorola plans to launch along with Verizon, will be the Shadow and another handset about which no information is available.
Hopefully, we get to see at least one of the phones will sport a physical QWERTY keyboard like in Motorola Milestone.
