Microsoft Zune-Like ‘Pink’ Smartphone Coming Soon
In view of Google Nexus One launch on 5th Kan 2010, Microsoft’s long-rumored Pink phone project seems to have gathered momentum once again and as it seems, Microsoft is gearing up to launch in next couple of months, a Zune music payer like design, the Pink phone that is based on its latest Windows Mobile 7 OS and includes HD video capability.
Microsoft is miserably lagging and losing fast in smartphone marketshare in the US market because of its Windows Mobile 6x OS for mobile devices is not able to keep pace with phenominal popularity and growth of Blackberry, iPhone, and now Google Android OS in offering latest innovations in mobile applications in areas like media, Web, games, interface, and, well, just about everything else in mobile space.
Microsoft Pink phone is believed to be a Zune-like smartphone and is presumed to be outcome of an OEM partnership akin to the one between Google and HTC that help development of Google’s first Android based Nexus One smarphone. Rumors also indicate that the device might feature a 6.0 megapixel camera offering the ability to record video at a resolution of 720p / 30fps, using H.264 compression and would allows users to work on MS Office documents remotely in cloud computing environment.
