In addition to 3 year battery life for wireless keyboard and mouse, the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 also offers 3 year battery life for other components of the package including the tiny Logitech Unifying receiver, Logitech Incurve keys and hyper-fast scrolling for the mouse.

According to Logitech, to achieve such incredibly extended battery life, the MK710 combo kit uses Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology that transmits information much faster and more efficiently than conventional 27 MHz wireless systems. In addition, the Wireless Desktop MK710 conserves power by automatically reducing the amount of time the keyboard and mouse remain in active mode when left idle with no use.

Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 is equipped with the tiny Logitech Unifying receiver that can stay inserted (and much safe) in laptop or desktop’s USB port and a single such receiver can be paired with up to six Unifying-compatible Logitech keyboards and mice resulting in freeing up valuable USB ports. This is really helpful feature.

The low-profile keyboard also feature an LCD dashboard that gives at-a-glance status for Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, Num Lock and battery life.

Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity delivers the reliability of a cord plus wireless convenience and freedom of wires free working. In addition, fast data transmission without dropouts, and in-build 128-bit AES encryption give users added security.

The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 is scheduled to go on sale first in Europe beginning in February 2010 followed by in the U.S. beginning in April 2010, for a suggested retail price of $99.99.
