HTC Legend and HTC Desire Smartphones Coming Soon to Vodafone UK Customers
Vodafone UK has announced that its customers in UK can soon register for the Google Android Eclair 2.1 powered newly announced HTC Desire Smartphone and HTC Legend Smartphone, set to launch in April 2010.
HTC Legend
Announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC), BARCELONA, the new HTC Legend Smartphone is powered by latest Android 2.1 dubbed as ‘Eclair’ and comes equipped with newer version of HTC Sense user interface.
The new HTC Sense experience begins with a new HTC application and widget called HTC Friend Stream that seamlessly integrate all of user’s social communication including Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr into one organised flow of updates, making it easier than ever to focus on what friends are doing as well as to view the images and links that they share.
HTC claims that the new HTC Sense user interface also introduces broad improvements to applications including the browser, email client, IMs and others and includes a new newsreader application and widget, as well as a new seven-screen ‘Leap’ thumbnail view for quick and easy access to specific screens.
The HTC Legend Smartphone will be available exclusively to Vodafone UK customers and would include a range of Vodafone 360 services, including Vodafone Music and MyWeb, sitting on top of the HTC Sense user interface in addition to full access to the Android Marketplace for apps.
The HTC Legend is armed with 600 MHz Processor with 512-MB ROM and 384-MB RAM and includes a stunning 3.2 inch, AMOLED HVGA display. The traditional trackball has also been replaced with an optical joystick, surrounded by a narrow button to improve usability without interrupting its unique design.
HTC Legend comes equipped with 5MP camera with flash, and also features GPS with A-GPS support, Bluetooth 2.1 with FTP and OPP file transfer capabilities, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB tethering capabilities and weighs only 126 gms.
HTC Desire
The HTC Desire Smartphone delivers intense brilliance, sharp contrast, and true colors on the expansive 3.7-inch AMOLED display that enhances visual content – whether viewing photos, videos, browsing the web or catching up with mates with the Facebook, Twitter and Flickr integration of HTC’s Friend Stream functionality.
Powered by a powerful 1-GHz Snapdragon processor, HTC Desire allows enabling multi tasks from app-to-app, and also comes with full Google application / app store integration, while the instinctive HTC Sense experience lets you wield the power of the HTC Desire with the greatest
