Energy System has announced its new Energy Book 1061 e-Book Reader that features 6-inch E-ink Vizplex paper-like display, and offers 64MB internal storage with support for SD/SDHC expansion slot for expandable memory.

Expected to be officially launched on 12th March 2010, the Energy Book 2061 e-Book reader is compatible with the most popular file formats including ePUB, FB2, PDF, and would have access to over one million free books avaliable at Google Books program.

The Energy Book 2061 e-Book reader is armed with Samsung ARM9 processor and includes a 6-inch E-ink Vizplex paper-like display allowing comfortable reading  with 16 levels greyscale in maximum resolution of  800 × 600 pixels.

Energy 2061 e-Book reader comes with built-in picture browser and MP3 media player allowing support for MP3, PNG, TIF, GIF, BMP, JPEG files and supports most of the popular e-Book file formats including PDF, EPUB, RTF, TCR, PDB, PRC, MOBI, HTM, HTML, TXT, CHM, FB2, DJVU, and DJV.

The Energy 2061 e-Book reader includes 64MB of internal memory and supports expandable memory of upto 16-GB via SD/SDHC card slot. A 2GB card comes with the e-Book reader.

It also includes 100 classics of universal literature in spanish, english and french and comes with rechargeable Lithium battery offering up to 6000 pages reading with a single charge. Besides it features dedicated buttons on front side allowing functions like page-marking, zoom, book search, image viewer, etc. and can be charged through USB connection.  A USB 2.0 standard cable and AC/DC adapter Europlug-USB is included.

Equipped with a user friendly multilingual interface, Energy Book 2061 e-Book reader is capable of running Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, or MacOS 9.x/X or later and is expected to retail at estimated price of US $350.
