Eco-Friendly Sony Ericsson Aspen Powered by Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Announced
Sony Ericsson has announced the launch of ASPEN Smartphone that is Sony’s first Windows Mobile’s latest version 6.5.3 powered smartphone featuring full QWERTY keyboard, optimized finger-navigation and improved Internet Explorer Mobile 6.
The Aspen smartphone is Sony Ericsson’s latest edition to its eco-friendly GreenHeart product line of handsets and it features a full fixed QWERTY keyboard that provides added comfort to the heavy messaging users in addition to Microsoft Office for Mobile users giving them view and edit office files with more ease.
Measuring 117 x 60 x 12.45 mm in size Sony Ericsson Aspen smartphone comes in two colors, viz. iconic black and white silver (see above picture) and it features 2.4-inch 65K colors QVGA full touchscreen 320 x 240 pixel resolution display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, multishot, self timer and smart contrast, 3.5mm audio out port, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g wireless LAN connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, FM Radio with RDS, and A-GPS with Google Maps.
The Aspen is GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz and UMTS 850/900/2100MHz network ready and offers GPRS class 10, EDGE class 10 and HSPA ultra-fast data connection options. In addition, it offers support for upto 16-GB microSD memory card for extended memory and comes equipped with IM and email client applications supporting POP and iMap push email.
Sony Ericsson Aspen phones is made completely with recycled materials, sold in eco-friendly boxes, and offers built-in power management features to help lower energy consumption, making it a perfect ECO friendly handset.
Sony Ericsson Aspen comes pre-loaded with a range of applications and panels including SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 (Professional), SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 (Lifestyle), SEMC Greenheart Panel, Microsoft Today, Facebook, Panel Manager, SlideView, Google Maps Latitude, Google Mobile Application, Send My Location, Unified Search Application, SPB Traveler and Weather combo, Skype, YouTube™ panel, CNN, On-The-Road Panel, Windows Live, Twitter, Gokivo Weather Panel and Eco mate application.
The Sony Ericsson Aspen comes with a stylus as well as built-in handwriting recognition with finger touch interface and handset is also capable of connecting to Microsoft’s new MyPhone data backup service that can also remotely erase phone data in case the smartphone gets lost or stolen.
