Dell has announced the launch of its new top-of-the-line workhorse laptop, the Precision M6500 also termed as Mobile Workstation, in India market which is powered packed with 2010 series Intel Core i7 Quad Core Extreme Processor .

Offering a choice of Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating system, the new Dell Precision M6500 is designed as a fully operational workstation and boasts over-delivers in terms of performance and scalability and is certified with many Independent Software Vendor (ISV) applications interactivity you expect from Dell Precision.

The workhorse Dell Precision M6500 has 1.6 GHz Intel Core i7-720QM Quad Core Processor with added support upto Intel Core i7-920XM Quad Core Extreme Edition processors (considered ultimate multi-core processor from Intel), and it features 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 320GB SATA 7200 rpm HDD and slot loaded 8x DVD burner. It comes with a 17-inch WXGA+ LED backlit display and it features Quadro FX 3800M graphics card delivering 1440 x 900 pixels native screen resolution.

In addition, the Dell M6500 also packs in Dell Wireless 1397 802.11g Mini-Card, Bluetooth 2.1, 2.0 megapixel webcam, an optional Fingerprint reader, 8-in-1 card reader, ExpressCard 54, 2MP webcam, four USB ports and extended life 9-cell rechargeable battery.

The Dell M6500 laptop also offers exhaustive expandability and flexibility options. With built-in support for four memory DIMM slots, the Dell M6500 enables memory scalability up to 16GB. With two dedicated hard-drive bays and an additional Solid State Drive mini-card option (256 MB capacity), the storage capacity of the M6500 can scale up to over 1 terabyte, and can be configured in RAID 5 mode to operate with high performance and redundancy.
