Dell has today announced the launch of new 27-inch Dell UntraSharp U2711 Widescreen LCD monitor that goes on sale in USA and and Asia that offers professional quality WQHD 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution.

The Dell UltraSharp U2711 offers incredible performance, multiple connection options, and professional WQHD 2,560 x 1,440 resolution in a wide aspect 16:9 ratio with 12-bit internal color processing and 1.07 billion color palette, that makes it ideal for working with Full HD devices.

The Dell UltraSharp U2711 is priced at $1099 in US and is available from today in North America, South America and Asia (it will be available in Europe soon) and support for industry color standards in their work or leisure activities.

The Dell U2711 widescreen display uses 12-bit internal color processing with the ability to output 10-bit color allowing users to get 1024 levels of grey instead of just 256. And 24-bit in comparison to 30-bit color results in a color palette of 1.07 billion instead of 16.7 million, making it a great LCD display to view high-resolution photos or Blu-ray discs because of the way that it displays natural and vibrant colors.

The Dell U2711 LCD display features 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, 1000:1 standard contrast ratio with 80,000:1 DCR, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 6-ms fast response time and supporting 1.07 million colors.

Offering wide viewing angle of 178 degree vertical and 178 degree horizontal, the Dell U2711 27-inch display is equipped with HDMI port, 2 DVI-D with HDCP support, a DisplayPort, a VGA port, 1 USB 2.0 upstream port, 4 USB 2.0 downstream ports and built-in 8-in-1 media card reader and consumes 113 watts without audio and USB connection and less than 2 W in stand-by mode.
