HP today announced the HP ePrint service App for iPhone is now available on the App Store. Now millions of iPhone users can search for and download the app to unlock the power of the HP ePrint Enterprise solution on their device.

The HP ePrint Enterprise solution allows users to print within their enterprise network via an HP Managed Print Services engagement, and users can also download the HP ePrint service App to print at thousands of HP ePrint Mobile Print Locations worldwide, including FedEx Office® and Hilton Worldwide.

“By 2014, 90 percent of global Fortune 1000 companies will implement cloud printing services for mobile personnel,(2) showing what HP has known for years – mobility is not a trend, it’s a way of life,” said Bruce Dahlgren, senior vice president, Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. “We are committed to anticipating our customer needs and delivering innovative solutions like HP ePrint Enterprise for our enterprise customers that need simple, secure mobile access to printing.”

Making printing as mobile as business users

With the launch of the HP ePrint service App, iPhone users can now print emails, presentations, reports, travel documents and more to any networked enterprise printer.

To help mitigate security risks, all print jobs are managed by HP ePrint Enterprise Administrative Server software, ensuring that data is kept within the company’s own network.

iPhone users can easily search a directory of available print locations and use their smartphone’s GPS functionality to navigate to HP ePrint Mobile Print Locations that include print and copy retail stores as well as hotels and airport lounges.

FedEx Office implemented the HP ePrint solution across its network of more than 1,800 locations nationwide last year, giving users of BlackBerry® smartphones – and now iPhone – access to ePrint through the world’s largest retail printing network.

“With these ePrint enhancements, iPhone users can now print documents directly from their devices to our stores using our FedEx Office Print & Go service,” said Brian Philips, president and chief executive officer, FedEx Office. “We are the only national print retailer to offer smartphone printing – making us the clear leader in the marketplace with our extensive portfolio of products and services.”

Many HP ePrint Mobile Print Locations, including Hilton Worldwide, are powered by the PrinterOn® network of public printers.

The HP ePrint service App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.

Yamaha Electronics Corporation today introduced the TSX-140 Desktop Audio System that wakes you gradually and gently, leaving you feeling more relaxed and refreshed than ever before.

With earth-inspired color choices, the TSX-140 is beautiful to the eye and ear, offering compact, elegant design. It represents the latest addition to Yamaha’s TSX family of docks compatible with Apple’s iPod Touch and iPhone (3G/3GS/4). Moreover, the Yamaha TSX-140 is capable of playing MP3 and WMA files stored on a USB stick, as well as FM/AM radio programming.

With its twin 3½–inch ported bass reflex speakers and Yamaha digital amplifiers, the TSX-140 delivers its superlative performance through Concert Quality Sound, a proprietary Yamaha concept that virtually eliminates all unnecessary noise and distortion, and Extended Stereo, which creates a perceptually larger stereo sound field through Yamaha DSP.

Unique to Yamaha, the TSX-140′s IntelliAlarm wakes you gently with the audio source of your choosing, first filtering out uncomfortable high frequencies, then gradually restoring the full audio spectrum before beeping to ensure you are awake. The IntelliAlarm provides a gentle, stress-free feeling that makes waking up a pleasure.

For added convenience, the TSX-140 offers a USB mini-B connector that facilitates iPod/iPhone syncing to a computer while charging in the dock. In addition to the illuminated buttons on the top panel, three front panel controls give access to source, volume, radio presets, alarm clock and equalizer functions.

LED indicators show which function has been selected for simple, fast tuning. A brightness sensor automatically adjusts all display LEDs to suit the ambient light level.

“The Yamaha TSX-140 is designed for the consumer who wants a no-compromise sound experience, even on a nightstand,” said Tom Sumner, President, Yamaha Electronics Corporation. “IntelliAlarm offers consumers a gentler, more natural way to get going in the morning, instead of being jolted out of a sound sleep.”

Inspired by natural colors and echoing ceramic art, the TSX-140 is available in three finishes: black, brick and gray.

Price and Availability

The Yamaha TSX-140 carries an MSRP of $399.95.

For more information, write Yamaha Electronics Corporation, P.O. Box 6660, Buena Park, CA 90620; telephone (714) 522-9105; email infostation@yamaha.com; or visit www.yamaha.com/hometheater.

Motorola announced the upcoming availability in India market of Motorola CHARM, a touch screen smartphone that packs a social networking punch with Android 2.1, MOTOBLURTM enhancements, a compact design and a BACKTRACK™ feature that makes screen navigation even more intuitive.

Motorola CHARM provides consumers all the features of a smartphone with the intuitive navigation of a 2.8 inch touch screen – all in a compact, pocketable design that makes messaging a snap using the combination of a full QWERTY keyboard and touch screen.

The BACKTRACK navigation pad, located on the back of the smartphone directly behind the home screen, is similar to a laptop touch panel and enables an unobstructed view of the Web, texts, e-mails and news feeds. Plus, with Android 2.1 and enhanced MOTOBLUR features, CHARM offers new customization and filtering options.

Motorola CHARM will be the first device in the U.S. to feature an enhanced version of MOTOBLUR built on Android 2.1, which syncs contacts, posts, messages, photos and much more in easy to manage streams — from sources such as Facebook®, MySpace, Twitter™, Gmail™, work and personal e-mail. MOTOBLUR now allows for even greater customization, providing users more options to follow who and what really matters.

MOTOBLUR filters can be selected from a single social networking account, contacts, group or messaging account so that users can select only the information they want to stream live to the Happenings and Messages widgets.

Users can move and resize pre-loaded home screen widgets to personalize up to seven home screen panels for an even more custom experience. Lastly, consumers can manage their phone’s battery consumption by selecting different power modes to conserve battery.

Contacts in MOTOBLUR are automatically synced to the phone from personal and work e-mail and social network accounts. MOTOBLUR will continue to provide convenience and peace of mind, as lost devices can be located from a secure personal information portal and even remotely erased if necessary.

In addition, one user name and password brings back contacts, messages and connectivity to previously configured networks and e-mail providers.

Last, but not least, Moto Phone Portal enables you to access and manage your phone’s data from any browser through a USB or Wi-Fi connection. Edit content and view important phone information while at home or on-the-go. Leave pictures on a friend’s PC, share a video at the local Internet café or share a presentation during an important business meeting.

Additional features on Motorola CHARM include:

Adobe® Flash® enabled Web browsing experience to view most of today’s content-rich sites

Full suite of Google™ services including: Google Search™, Google Maps™, Gmail™ and access to thousands of apps on Android Market™

Pinch to zoom functionality and two-finger swipe to easily surf the Web and sort through photos

Capture sharp photos with a 3MP camera and KODAK PERFECT TOUCH technology for better, brighter pictures

One-touch social media uploads to Facebook®, MySpace, PicasaTM and PhotoBucket®

Apple has announced that iOS 4.2, the latest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, is available today for download for iPad™, iPhone® and iPod touch®. iOS 4.2 brings over 100 new features from iOS 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 to iPad including Multitasking, Folders, Unified Inbox, Game Center, AirPlay® and AirPrint.

“iOS 4.2 makes the iPad a completely new product, just in time for the holiday season,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Once again, the iPad with iOS 4.2 will define the target that other tablets will aspire to, but very few, if any, will ever be able to hit.”

iPad users can now run their favorite apps and switch between them instantly, while preserving iPad’s legendary battery life. Users can organize their apps with drag-and-drop simplicity using Folders, and Mail now features a Unified Inbox, fast inbox switching and a threaded message view.

Game Center allows iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users to challenge and play friends or be matched automatically with new opponents, showcase their scores and achievements, and discover new games their friends are playing.

AirPlay is a new feature for streaming music, video and photos wirelessly from iPad, iPhone and iPod touch to Apple TV®, transforming Apple TV into a great accessory for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

iOS users also will be able to use AirPort Express® and AirPlay to stream wirelessly to any stereo or powered speakers, or directly to AirPlay-enabled speakers coming to market in the months ahead.

Motorola today announced the upcoming availability of Motorola CHARM, a touch screen smartphone that packs a social networking punch with Android 2.1, MOTOBLUR enhancements, a compact design and a BACKTRACK feature that makes screen navigation even more intuitive.

Motorola CHARM is expected to be available this summer exclusively in the U.S. for customers of T-Mobile USA, Inc.

“Motorola strives to provide an increased customizable user experience, which is enabled by our latest enhancements to MOTOBLUR and featured on the new Motorola CHARM,” said Jean Pierre Le Cannellier, vice president, Americas Marketing, Motorola Mobile Devices. “Combine that with a compact design, easy handling and all the features you would expect from a smartphone, and we believe that CHARM with MOTOBLUR adds the social ability and workability consumers are looking for.”

“Being social with friends and family comes naturally for T-Mobile customers, and we think mobilizing their social experiences should be effortless,” said Saj Sahay, director of product management, T-Mobile USA. “With the new Motorola CHARM and enhancements to the Android and MOTOBLUR experience, we’re bringing more social skills to our broad portfolio of Android-powered smartphones.”

CrystalTalkTM PLUS for enhanced audio and call quality with a second microphone for increased voice quality while filtering out background noise

Corporate email pushed immediately to the device for instant inbox updates

Availability

Motorola CHARM with MOTOBLUR is expected to be available exclusively to T-Mobile USA customers this summer.

Nokia has recently unveiled its latest C-series mobile phones with three new products under the Nokia C1 name, as well as the new dual-SIM Nokia C2 which will follow at the end of the fourth quarter of 2010.

The most affordable of the Nokia C1 trio (C1-00) is priced at EUR 30 before taxes and subsidies and is the first Nokia mobile phone to feature a 2-in-1 double SIM solution.

According to Alex Lambeek, Vice President at Nokia, users can switch between SIM cards by simply holding down a key. This enables them to take advantage of reduced call rates, flexibility when traveling from one country to another, or helps with sharing a phone within a family and still use their own SIM. This is a great added convenience feature considering the low price of the phone.

Nokia C1 phone owners will also benefit from a standby battery time of up to six weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia mobile phone, especially useful in those parts of the world where access to electricity is sometimes limited. The standard flashlight – often someone’s only means of bright light – is paired with a vivid color screen and FM radio with standard headphone jack, meaning the Nokia C1 is as much about entertainment as it is about convenience.

The Nokia C2 phone features a dual SIM with dual standby capability which along with the many capabilities of the Nokia C1 phone, can also keep both SIM cards active; meaning calls and text messages can come to either number while the phone is on. The first SIM card on the Nokia C2 phone sits underneath the battery and the second is ‘hot-swappable’, a feature unique to Nokia which means it can be removed and inserted when the phone is on.

The new Nokia C2 phone also offers a wide range of information covering healthcare, agriculture, education and entertainment via Nokia’s Ovi Life Tools, as well as the email account for the developing world, Ovi Mail.

In addition to Ovi Mail, people’s favorite consumer email and chat accounts can be pushed direct to the phone via Nokia Messaging. Listening to music is simple with the FM radio and music player, with a massive amount of music storage with the phone supporting micro-SD cards of up to 32GB.

The second and third devices in the Nokia C1 family are Nokia C1-01 and Nokia C1-02 phone which are both single SIM products, and Nokia’s most affordable devices offering microSD compatibility, enabling people to store up to 32 GB of music, photography, or whatever other media suits them.

Both Nokia C1-01 and Nokia C1-02 phones bring very individual designs and exciting colors, bright color screens, web browsing over GPRS and access to Nokia web services such as Nokia Messaging. In addition, owners of the Nokia C1 phone will also be able to take video and photographs using the built-in VGA camera.

Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit
New alternative charging solution debuts

Nokia also unveiled new innovative Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit, an alternative charging solution built especially for people with limited access to electricity.

Providing free and environmentally friendly electricity for mobile phones, the Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit consists of a charger and dynamo, as well as a holder to secure the phone to the bike. When the kit is installed, the dynamo – a small electrical generator – uses the movement of the wheels to charge the handset through the standard 2mm charging jack used in most Nokia mobile phones.

According to Nokia, with this innovative bike charger, people get even more freedom to use their Nokia without worrying about battery life. Bicycles are the most widespread means of transport in many markets around the world, so this is just one more benefit to be gained from an activity people are already doing.

This is a great solution to a real challenge, whether people will use it due to limited access to electricity, or to be more environmentally responsible. The kit will be available before the end of the year in selected retailers and Nokia online and branded retail.

The estimated retail prices of the new Nokia mobile phones, before taxes and subsidies, are:

Nokia C1 (C1-00) EUR 30
Nokia C1 (C1-02) EUR 35
Nokia C1 (C1-01) EUR 39
Nokia C2 (C2-00) EUR 45

The Nokia C1 (C1-00) is expected to ship in the third quarter of 2010, with the Nokia C1 (C1-01) in the early fourth quarter, and the Nokia C1 (C1-02) and Nokia C2 towards the end of the fourth quarter 2010.

Fujitsu has recently announced that its new docomo PRIME series F-06B mobile phone will be available in Japan from NTT DOCOMO, Inc. beginning June 9, 2010. The High-spec waterproof and rotating slide-screen mobile phone features a 13.2 megapixel camera capable of recording Full Hi-Vision movies.

The F-06B is Fujitsu’s first rotating slide-screen mobile phone that is water-resistant (IPX5/IPX7/IPX8)) and is equipped with a 13.2 megapixel camera capable of recording Full Hi-Vision) movies, as well as a large, easy-to-use 3.5-inch touchscreen display that allows users to comfortably navigate menus and view captured photos.

As Fujitsu’s first rotating slide-screen mobile phone to be water resistant, the F-06B was designed to be functional in a wide range of situations where users do not have to care about rain or water. Because it is IPX8 compliant, the camera can be used underwater at a depth of 1.5 m.

Besides, the Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B features Wi-Fi tethering capability that enables it to be used as a wireless LAN access point for easily linking PCs and portable gaming devices to the Internet, as well as a full-featured electronic multimedia dictionary containing full versions of Kojien and other dictionaries.

The Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B is a water-resistant mobile phone that boasts unprecedented high functionality and performance which will satisfy the needs of PRIME series users.

The new mobile phone’s design features a distinctive arc frame that, when combined with the phone’s water-resistance and slim form factor, makes for a stylish end result.

As Fujitsu’s first water-resistant rotating slide-screen mobile phone, the Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B combines three different user modes — a closed touch screen mode that allows users to quickly access information, a sliding mode that gives users convenient access to the keypad that they are used to, and a dynamic horizontal-screen mode that allows users to enjoy Internet and TV contents.

To make the most of its 13.2 megapixel camera, the new Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B mobile phone is equipped with the Milbeaut Mobile image-processing engine and capable of recording Full Hi-Vision video footage (1,920×1,080 resolution) that is equivalent to videos taken by a digital video camera.

In addition, the Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B waterproof phone also includes a variety of useful new functions that rival those of digital cameras, including a “Best Shot Select” feature, a smooth slow-motion video recording function, and a “Wide-angle Flash” feature. The “Best Shot Select” feature captures seven continuous photographs with a single press of the shutter and automatically selects the best out of these seven captured images.

The Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B mobile phone incorporates additional features such as a large 3.5-inch touchscreen display with an improved response time, Wi-Fi tethering capability that enables the phone to be used as a wireless LAN access point for easily linking PCs and portable gaming devices to the Internet.

In addition, it also includes a full-featured electronic multimedia dictionary that contains dictionary data from 28 different reference books (22 dictionaries + 6 sectoral search volumes), including full versions of Kojien, English-Japanese Dictionary for the General Reader, and Shin Kangorin.

The Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B includes an e-mail scheduling feature, which automatically sends e-mails at a designated date and time, as well as an automatic reply feature, which automatically replies when an incoming call or e-mail is received from a person designated in the mobile phone’s e-mail settings. Users can choose between three kinds of automatic reply messages, and the message content can also be edited.

The phone uses iWnn predictive text technology that can predict both English and Japanese text input. After inputting an initial letter, users can narrow down the remaining word options by pressing the right key to select each additional letter, making text input easier to use.

The Fujitsu F-06B mobile phone can also broadcast sound from its music player or one-segment TV tuner as an FM signal. Using the FM radio of an automobile or home stereo system, users can easily enjoy music at any time.

Measuring 115×51×17.1 mm the F-06B weighs only 139 gms the Fujitsu DoCoMo PRIME Series F-06B phone is available in three colors: white, black, and cyan colors and included battery allows upto 390 hours of stand by time and 250 minutes of talk time on a 3G capable network.
